| THE BREIGHTLING JET TEAM
This is the world's first professional civilian jet aerobatics team. Piloted by top-notch professionals, the flight team sometimes fly within 3 metres of each other at speeds of over 650mph. The team is made up of six L-39C Albatros aircraft, Czech-made twin-seater military training jets. Based at Dijon they perform about 50 demonstrations in Europe each season, at air shows, Formula 1 Grand Prix races, sports events, etc. The 2008 season saw the aircraft in a new scheme with yellow tails. Unfortunately the weather did not provide us with blue skies at the Biggin Hill Air Fair. They also flew in 7 ship formations. Click on photo to see a bigger image. |
